My eyes are hazel blue an almond shape and they are fairly big. I usually use a cream color eye shadow toward my eye brow and for my lids I use medium brown and fan it out. and I use black eyeliner (pencil) and volumax mascara. However. I was wanting to try something different with them being as how that's how I wear my eye make-up pretty much everyday. I need some suggestions as to how to it another way.

I have almond shaped hazel eyes as well. Here's a simple eye that you can do to make your hazel eyes pop during the day and that will, with just a minute or two in the mirror, take you right into the evening.
Use Laura Mercier's Mocha as a shadow base over the entire eye. This can be worn as a shadow as well on days when minimum make-up is in order. Just add a little highlight on the brow bone and you're done!
The Mocha is a great shadow base and on top of this, try M.A.C. Vanilla eye shadow on the brow bone just under the brow and brush M.A.C.'s eye shadow in Mulch as a wash over the rest of the eye and blend well. I use black liquid liner (or you can use a black liner gel such as M.A.C.'s Blacktrack or BobbiBrown's Black Ink) and press it into the base of my lashes and inside the upper membrane or inner rim of the eye. This makes the lashes appear fuller and darker. Add some black mascara and you're ready to go. Be sure and pencil or powder your brows if they need it. Coppery colors do wonders for hazel eyes!
For evening, I next take Laura Mercier's Eye Kohl in Black Violet and line the upper lashes. No need to push the color into the base of the lashes. You've already darkened them with the black. Take a small brush and smudge the violet out a bit. Take your small brush and even push the Black Violet into a V-shape on the outter corner of your eye which results in a more exotic look. Use M.A.C.'s Nocturnelle or Beauty Marked brushed %26amp; blended over the smudged liner in the corner. Blend it down just along the outer third of your lower lash line. Add a daub of M.A.C.'s Coppering inside the darker ';V'; and blend well. A bit of the Vanilla just around the inner corner - both upper and lower will help define and brighten the eye. Brush lashes, curl if needed and apply another coat of mascara and you're good for the evening! From morning to night, the Copper to the deep purples are great for hazel eyes.
Hope you found this helpful,
LR
