it is my pleasure, i am makeup artist my self and i think watching is far better then reading makeup tricks. there are many site which offer such video clips , you can search in videos on net. Report Abuse

Dont do black...go for a dark brown instead I have this Too Faced stuff, its amazing. Its a duo and i think its Lovey Dovey i dont remember for sure but they have a bunch of different shades. I do a little black liner on the edge of my eye on top then layer the lighter of the 2 all over then the dark on just on the actual lid...then put on a few coats of mascara on top and bottom and im good to go and its still the smokey eye look but it looks classy and cute!
dark brown eyeliner is awesome for your eye color. try using Smudge Pots. you can buy them at Sephora. it never smears and you dont end up with a black eye at the end of the day. choose colors that compliment you.
I love the MAC Cosmetics line of Pigments which can be used on the eyes. They last forever and are rich in color. You might stop by a MAC store and ask for some suggestions. It is very hard to make a suggestion without actually seeing the shape of your eyes, where the crease is in the eyelid and whether they are close set or spaced wide apart. I have a lot of fun experimenting with different looks. Some cosmetic stores have a guide of how to place cosmetics printed on paper and can actually show you the best colors and application for you.
.
the best thing to do is to approach a proffesional label such as Napoleon or MAC cosmetics counter at a department store and ask them to help and advise as everyone has a different shape of eye, this is usually free and very helpfull.

otherwise I would suggest that a light colour base coat to cover the entire eyelid and use a black in the crease of the eyelid only as far as the centre of the lid then use a larger bristle brush to 'blend' out into the outside of the eye and up to the eyebrow.

BLENDING is the key to a great look.
if i am u i will always start with a base... MAC sharkskin shadestick is v good as its a dark geyish with a hint of blue.. look like a soft dark grey.. apply that on ur crease.. u can do it easily as its a stick so i can find its way around ur crease easily.. once u have done that u can use either MAC carbon eye shadow OR if u want a lil sparkle u can use MAC dark soul pigment.. apply on the area that u have previously colored on sharkskin...

another method is to us MAC blacktrack fluidline

thats a little harder to control but to each its own... the effect is better tho ... line a v think line of ur lashline n smudge n blend it around ur crease... this gives a really nice smokey eyes ! trust me :) the bonus is the will nv crease fade or smudge.. its really beautiful u ought to try it.. or pop down to a MAC counter n ask them to help u n see it for urself :)

of course pair it with a nude lipstick :) MAC peachstock is a good choice :)
