Black eye makeup?

Ok, so usually I wear black eyeshadow and then apply it thickly under my eye like eyeliner, and then I'll wear black/brown mascara. Is this too dark? What else could I do that would keep my eyes dark, but not look goth or something???Black eye makeup?
It ususally is better to use the darkest shade of green to get the dark look. Apply it darker above the lashes go a little bit lighter (same color) on the eyelid. Use a black eyeliner and create a verythin line right above the lashes. Wear a a black mascara. Also use a gold base shadow to highlight the arch.

It will not look goth at all if you wear a very light pale pink lipstick with no shine and very natural blush. Do not over do the lipstick and blush, otherwise the look will be gawdy rather than sophisticated.

Great look for evening!Black eye makeup?
if you want a fresher look but want to keep using black lighten it up first with some white shadow (makes it grey) and apply that. it will give you a smokey look without being goth.

if you are wanting to go a whole new route, try a medium brown powder liner. smudge it a bit and you have a great day look that doesnt look caked on.
From your avatar, you look like you are highly olive looking. Sometimes, black eyeliner and black eye shadow may be a bit too dark for your color skin to the point where you would look like a goth or someone on the crazy side. I suggest you keep it light on the eyeliner and possibly choose another color for your eyeshadow maybe blend with a little bit of brown/bronze when you wear the black eyeshadow
first off, dark eye makeup doesn't look goth anymore...people are way passed that now. you can keep the dark makeup, just draw it on a bit thinner. liquid liner would serve you well on the top of your eye, on your bottom lid, do a thin line of some shimmery gray or white powder...it won't be so dark and it'll make your eyes 'pop'.
u can try using the powder kind glittery thingy girls use on there eye's
absolutely! only black for mascara and eye liner, nothing more, then, you look like one of two things, a little hookerish, or like a gothish person. if you want dark, you should deff go with a shimering slate, that provides the perfect night look, but during the day, stay away from it! consider maybe even a plum or eggplant color, that would be flattering, but it is really all about choosing the right color for your eyes, something that will flatter you the most. try out a few different colors until you come to one that you thing is most flattering! good luck!

~simple but sweet13~
try something like these..

http://www.smartmailpro.co.nz/smartmailw鈥?/a> -- its still black but not as much

http://kawara.kaywa.com/files/images/200鈥?/a> -- or use a color that brings out your eyes

goodluck.
You can use something equally as dark like deep purples and greens. Maybe you can have a mix of to colors and have the dark accentuate your eyes while the lighter fades away from it.
get punched in the eye
u could use thick eyeliner and a funky colored eyeshadow like pink or blue...

i think that would be ur type of style
Why don't you try a dark gray and blend the black only in the crease and at the eyelash line. Wet the black eyeshadow with a little eyeliner brush and apply like you would eye liner and I would suggest using a all black mascara instead.
yeah i think it is too dark.. you should just wear black or navy blue eyeliner on ur upper and lower eyelids and dark mascara.. it will look better and less goth
Yea, that is def. roo dark if u dot wanna look goth, try gray, it will give you that smokey eyes, but wont look too goth, good luck!
judging by ur hair color on ur avatar, black would look hot on u cuz red and black could go 2gether. why not? i say go 4 it
Try purple it looks really hot on the lining of your eyes
Don't wear that much black makeup. A thin line of black eyeliner on bottom and a medium line on top, with a little gray eyeshadow is really pretty. But black is overrated. Try a dark blue/green/purple. And with all that black makeup, you could try some colored mascara. My favorite look: dark purple eyeshadow up to the crease, with a thin line of black eyeliner on top, not on bottom, with lots of mascara in either blue or black, mostly on the bottom lashes.

Try these:

Too much black isn't good. There are lots of dark colors out there you can ';get smoky'; with.
try like a gray or something

lighten up on the bottom of your eyes,

that will make it look a lot lighter

still apply mascara,

but the biggest difference will be a eye shadow

just a few shades lighter
Try lining the inner rims of your lower eyelids, instead of lining under the lashes. This will give you definition without a lot of makeup. You'll want to use a very dry pencil (Rimmel's works great) and pull the lid away from your eye as you do this, and be careful!

A trick that I have found to get a perfect, narrow line at the base of your lower lashes is to take a black pencil liner and draw a really thick line, then wash your face. It's really tough to get it all off, and a little will stick to the base of your eyelashes, again giving you some definition without a really ';made up'; look.
instead of using your eyeshadow instead of eyeliner, buy some black eyeliner. ive seen some for under a dollar. if you do that i bet your eyes will still be dark, but not goth dark.
I use a really dark purple MAC eyeshadow and an angled brush to line my lids for work then add some black eyeliner on the inside of my lids if i'm going out after
From Goth Look 2 Evening Wear (Seduction Look)

tone it down... 1st color: gold

2nd color: gray or light brown

3rd color: make a V shade on your eyew/ a brush and then you shade it in little circles

Just in case try there looks

How about lining your eyes in navy blue? It is not as harsh as black. I would use a black mascara with it and a dark taupe eyeshadow. This would still be dark but not as goth. Someone also once told me that navy blue eyeliner would make your eyes look less red if you were tired.
u should use like a plum color and dont apply it under your eye
My advice would be to keep your line under the eye thin. If you smudge it up and gets really noticeable, you'll look kind of tired. Keep it thin. It's supposed to line your eye not make you look goth.

My mom would give you the same advice. After all, she is a makeup artist!
Well I hope this is for friday night going out to the club because you shouldn't be wearing that during the day. thats a fashion no no don't you watch americas next top model??
go to the mac counter at the mall and they will teach you step by step some cute ways..

i love the smokey eyes, its not to black like goth but its dark and will make your eyes pop!

get like a matalic silver or shimery white and apply it in the creves of your eye, then apply the black.. just where simple eye liner instead of the heavy eye shadow on the bottom with a grey or black water proof mascara.. it will be dark but simple..

go to my 360 page thing and in my pics i have smokey eyes, and when ppl say that we are to white for black makeup there wrong we can look tastful wearing dark colors to! we just have to know how to do it.. ya no =]
use any dark color other than black, ie dk brown, plum, navy, etc. It has the same effect but not quite so harsh. Also keep the line under your eye thin, just slightly smudged to avoid the racoon look. Also, try metallics that reflect light.

In any case, you should only do this look at night.
